At any given time, Mano a Mano has a number of community-based infrastructure projects in various stages of construction in Bolivia. (And there are many communities on our current waiting list for clinics, schools, water projects, and other projects that the communities have identified as needs and are looking to partner with Mano a Mano to make possible – which we do as funding becomes available.)
Here are a few of Mano a Mano’s recently completed projects (and dedication brochures):
Catariri Health Clinic
Mano a Mano celebrated the dedication of our 185th health clinic project in the community of Catariri, Bolivia in late April! The community of Catariri, local leaders, Municipal leaders, visitors from MELA (who were in Bolivia for a health education workshop the previous week), staff from our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia, and staff from our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Internacional were present to officially dedicate this new clinic. The Catariri clinic joins Mano a Mano’s network of 184 clinics in Bolivia that had 1,389,436 patient visits in 2023.

Flores Rancho Deep Water Well
Mano a Mano Nuevo Mundo personnel recently made a follow-up visit to Flores Rancho in late April, a community in which Mano a Mano completed drilling a well last December. Four proud leaders met our staff to talk about the success of this project and how they are expanding it on their own (with no additional funding from Mano a Mano). We took the opportunity of having US visitors in Bolivia to host a formal dedication event on May 9th, 2024.

Chirusi Rosario Water Distribution System
Residents of Chirusi Rosario gathered on February 16th, 2024 to give thanks and to dance in celebration as they dedicated the final phase of their deep well project in partnership with Mano a Mano. Community leader Jesus Ovando presented a plaque to Mano a Mano in appreciation for the completion of this four-phase project, one which makes clean water available throughout this community of about 1,300 people.

San Antonio Health Clinic
In late April, Mano a Mano celebrated the dedication of our 186th health clinic project in the community of San Antonio, Bolivia! The community of San Antonio, local leaders, Municipal leaders, visitors from MELA (who were in Bolivia for a health education workshop the previous week, and helped make this project possible), and staff from our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia were present to officially dedicate this new clinic. The San Antonio clinic joins Mano a Mano’s network of 184 clinics in Bolivia that had 1,389,436 patient visits in 2023.

16th Anniversary of Projects & Programs in Laguna Sulty
Mano a Mano staff, volunteers, and visitors from the US participated in a celebration with local communities and leaders from in and around Laguna Sulty, Cochabamba, Bolivia in mid-May – an annual event commemorating a variety of partnerships and projects in the area.

Programs and Activities that Complement Construction Projects
These are just a few of our recently completed construction projects in partnership with Bolivian communities; we also provide complementary programs to our hundreds of brick-and-mortar projects, ranging from health education workshops to physical therapy to agricultural training to weekend health clinics to distributing medical supplies and mobility equipment sent from Minnesota for organizations throughout Bolivia, among others.
