In mid-May, a group of travelers from the US spent a week with Mano a Mano in Bolivia visiting a variety of projects.

Community Celebration in Laguna Sulty, Bolivia (May 11th, 2024)
Mano a Mano staff, volunteers, and visitors from the US participated in a celebration with local communities and leaders from in and around Laguna Sulty, Cochabamba, Bolivia on Saturday – an annual event commemorating a variety of partnerships and projects in the area.
Visiting the Community of Wirkini
Mano a Mano travelers visited the community of Wirkini on Friday, where we built a water reservoir in partnership with the community.
Large Distribution of Medical Supplies and Equipment at Mano a Mano’s Cochabamba Warehouse – May 8th, 2024
On May 8th, Mano a Mano hosted a large distribution of medical supplies, mobility equipment, and other items for dozens of organizations throughout Bolivia at our Cochabamba warehouse. All of these supplies are shipped from Minnesota, where they were destined for US landfills; instead they get put to good use for Bolivian people and organizations that can put these supplies to good use.
Dedicating Deep Water Well in Flores Rancho – May 9th, 2024
The group of visitors helped celebrate the dedication of Mano a Mano’s deep water well in Flores Rancho, in partnership with the community and local leaders, on May 9th.
Visiting Chirusi Rosario School
The group stopped by to visit the school in Chirusi Rosario, built by Mano a Mano in partnership with the community in 2022, as part of the May 11th Celebration Event in the Laguna Sulty area.
Visiting Chirusi Rosario Water Project
Travelers visited Mano a Mano’s water project in Chirusi Rosario, Bolivia last week – a 4-stage project over the past 3 years including the construction of a deep well, 6-story water tower (pictured here), and piping for distribution to the 200+ households in the community, dedicated in February 2024.
Visiting the Mano a Mano CEA
US travelers visited Mano a Mano’s CEA (Center for Ecological Agriculture) in Cochabamba as part of their trip to Bolivia this month.
