Distributing PPE & Medical Supplies to 70 Organizations in Bolivia
Our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia recently sent us an update on the distributions of medical supplies and equipment they have been making (here are more photos of other recent distributions) to 70 hospitals, health centers, and police and fire organizations in Bolivia. Two of our counterpart organizations – Mano a Mano Internacional and Mano a Mano Bolivia – have received permission from the government to work during the current quarantine to distribute medical supplies and protective equipment needed by healthcare organizations throughout Bolivia, to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the supplies being distributed were shipped from Mano a Mano’s warehouse in St. Paul, Minnesota.
In this COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals and health centers in Bolivia have almost no biohazard supplies and equipment. Mano a Mano Bolivia staff and volunteers have been working to sort and prepare biohazard supplies including masks, oxygen therapy supplies, nebulizers, protective robes, gloves, etc. for donation to hospitals and public health centers.
