Sorting Supplies from Minnesota for Distribution in Bolivia

Yesterday, Mano a Mano staff and volunteers worked on unloading and sorting the 90,000+ pounds of supplies sent from Minnesota in November that recently arrived in Bolivia (just before the lockdown went into effect). This process is much more challenging than normal due to the nationwide quarantine in Bolivia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We received permission and an escort to pick up 8 staff and volunteers from their homes, and transport them to Mano a Mano to get these supplies prepared for distribution to people and organizations throughout Bolivia. While supplies are always in high demand, the need is especially urgent with the strains put on health and healthcare systems due to COVID-19.

With the challenges of getting around due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Mano a Mano staff is preparing supplies for distribution wherever we are able.
