A few updates from Mano a Mano for the month of November 2025 on what we have been working on, together:

Limited Hours Around Thanksgiving

The Mano a Mano US Office will be closed on Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th, with limited availability on Wednesday, November 26th.

We are preparing for our final shipment of 2025 in early December – 5 containers of supplies and equipment for Bolivia sent from our Minnesota warehouse, to complement the 7 containers with 191,653 pounds sent so far this year.

These are just a few photos from distributions in 2025:

A Staffing Update From Mano a Mano

From Nate Knatterud-Hubinger:

“My time working with Mano a Mano is coming to a close at the end of this month. I have been part of the organization for more than 20 years, including a decade as Executive Director, and I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career (after taking a long overdue break first!).

I am proud of everything Mano a Mano has been able to accomplish, thanks to many dedicated people working together to accomplish things that none of us could do on our own. The organization has grown so much: when I started as a part-time admin assistant (my first interview after college, in 2005), my office was in the co-founders’ home in Mendota Heights and our warehouse had no heat; Mano a Mano now has a 15,000 square-foot warehouse in St. Paul, and our staff and counterpart organizations in Bolivia have their own office and warehouse spaces – including an airport currently under construction that will be the future home of Mano a Mano’s aviation program. We have shipped millions of pounds of surplus supplies from Minnesota to Bolivia for distribution throughout the country, completed hundreds of community-based-and-owned infrastructure projects in Bolivia, and established and managed programs that support hundreds of thousands of Bolivians. There have been plenty of challenges along the way, but I have honestly never had to doubt that Mano a Mano would be able to find a way forward. I am grateful to everyone that has been a part of Mano a Mano – in the past, present, and future – and I will continue to follow along and support Mano a Mano’s continued success.”

Drone Tour: Making Progress on Mano a Mano Airport in Laguna Sulty, Bolivia (November 2025)

Take a drone tour of the progress being made on the Mano a Mano airport project in Laguna Sulty, Bolivia – the future home of Mano a Mano’s aviation program that provides emergency flights, weekend health clinics, and transport for people and cargo to isolated rural communities throughout the country for nearly 2 decades.

Below are a few additional progress pictures from November, as we work on laying the runway:
