A few updates from Mano a Mano for the month of October 2025 on what we have been working on, together:

Dedicating Mano a Mano’s 190th Health Clinic in Vilaque, Bolivia (October 2025)

On October 1st, 2025, our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia celebrated the dedication of Mano a Mano’s 190th clinic project in Bolivia in the community of Vilaque, municipality of Tarata, department of Cochabamba. Every Mano a Mano project is a partnership; thank you to our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia, who oversees the process of building clinics from start to finish; the local community of Vilaque and municipal government of Tarata that were involved throughout the process; and Tamar’s family and friends that provided the seed money that made this project possible! When Mano a Mano dedicates a clinic or school project, it is always fully furnished and equipped. Many of the furnishings are constructed by Mano a Mano Bolivia in their workshop in Cochabamba.

3 Clinics & 1 School Dedicated in September

Vilaque was one of 3 new clinics dedicated in September/early October, along with a school project, by our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia:

Making Progress on Mano a Mano Airport

Our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Nuevo Mundo is making progress on the Mano a Mano airport project in Laguna Sulty, Bolivia.

In recent weeks, we have starting laying the runway:

Distributing Supplies and Equipment Throughout Bolivia

Mano a Mano collects donated supplies, mobility equipment, and other in-demand items in Minnesota for shipment to Bolivia, where they are distributed to people & organizations in need throughout the country. Most of these items were destined for the landfill in Minnesota; instead they get put to good use in Bolivia, where they are often unavailable or cost-prohibitive. Check out a few larger distributions made in October:

Mano a Mano also makes regular distributions to support our projects and counterpart organizations; provides individual donations of mobility equipment; and also makes use of many of the items sent from Minnesota in a variety of ways.

Crutches sent from Minnesota – not in the best shape to donate to people, but good support for a fence at Mano a Mano!
A container onsite at the Mano a Mano airport under construction…this container was part of a shipment of supplies and equipment in 2024; it now serves as mobile storage for Mano a Mano projects.
With sutures sent from Minnesota, nursing students from UNITEPC participate in suture internships to be able to practice hands-on at Mano a Mano what they learn in their classes.
