From Nate Knatterud-Hubinger:

“My time working with Mano a Mano is coming to a close at the end of this month. I have been part of the organization for more than 20 years, including a decade as Executive Director, and I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career (after taking a long overdue break first!).

I am proud of everything Mano a Mano has been able to accomplish, thanks to many dedicated people working together to accomplish things that none of us could do on our own. The organization has grown so much: when I started as a part-time admin assistant (my first interview after college, in 2005), my office was in the co-founders’ home in Mendota Heights and our warehouse had no heat; Mano a Mano now has a 15,000 square-foot warehouse in St. Paul, and our staff and counterpart organizations in Bolivia have their own office and warehouse spaces – including an airport currently under construction that will be the future home of Mano a Mano’s aviation program. We have shipped millions of pounds of surplus supplies from Minnesota to Bolivia for distribution throughout the country, completed hundreds of community-based-and-owned infrastructure projects in Bolivia, and established and managed programs that support hundreds of thousands of Bolivians. There have been plenty of challenges along the way, but I have honestly never had to doubt that Mano a Mano would be able to find a way forward. I am grateful to everyone that has been a part of Mano a Mano – in the past, present, and future – and I will continue to follow along and support Mano a Mano’s continued success.”
