Our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Internacional hosted a workshop for 35-40 physical therapy professionals over the weekend. There were theory and practice based sessions, working with supplies and equipment sent from Minnesota, and attendees received some donations of needed items to take back to their organizations.

- Providing medical supplies and equipment to attendees of a Mano a Mano Physical Therapy Workshop in April 2022.
Training and Education to Complement Mano a Mano’s Infrastructure Projects
Continuing education and training are important components for every Mano a Mano counterpart organization and their areas of focus – for our own staff and interns, as well as others. In addition to Mano a Mano Bolivia’s continuing health education and Dream Fund programs, Mano a Mano International Partners hosts interns from local universities and is a social work field placement site for Metro State University; Mano a Mano Nuevo Mundo provides training for heavy equipment operators; Mano a Mano Aviation provides training and internships for aviation students (pilots and mechanics); and Mano a Mano Internacional provides internships for agronomy students and provides training programs for public school teachers and physical therapists like this one over the weekend.
- Lic. Arminda Sotomayor graduates with a teacher’s degree in 2019.
- Students from Metro State and St. Kate’s help load containers with medical supplies and equipment for Bolivia.
- Pato Enyo
- Heavy machine mechanic students like Walter Rios learn welding, hydraulics, motor repair, tire repair, sheet metal work and painting. They graduate in six months with a certificate in heavy machine mechanics.
- A continuing health education course hosted by Mano a Mano Bolivia in December 2021.
- As part of Mano a Mano’s weekend health clinics, we also transport medical supplies and equipment, food, and other items to take advantage of all available space on our plane. No wasted space!
- the mini-kitchen that has been put together as a demonstration at the CEA. The biodigester is producing heat for the burner on which one of the students is boiling a potato-like vegetable. The other shows the teakettle heating. Very creative use of recycled wood, pop bottles and, of course, the biodigestor, and a sink with no plumbing. The students are agronomy interns.
