On July 1st, Mano a Mano loaded an ambulance with donated medical supplies & PPE for the municipal hospital in Comarapa, in the Department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Comarapa is a small town about halfway between the cities of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, with a population of 5,793; the department of Santa Cruz has been the most heavily impacted by COVID-19, with 52% of the total confirmed cases in Bolivia. Since mid-March, Mano a Mano has made dozens of distributions of supplies to healthcare organizations throughout Bolivia, with an emphasis on providing COVID-19 support. Another shipment of 4 containers with 91,556 pounds of medical supplies and equipment is currently en route to Bolivia from Minnesota.
