The Opus Prize is an annual $1 million award recognizing an unsung hero anywhere in the world whose leadership empowers people to transform their lives and communities. Two prizes of $100,000 each will also be awarded to the runners-up. Mano a Mano’s co-founder Segundo Velasquez has been nominated as a finalist for the award!

Earlier this year St. Kate’s students and professors joined Opus Foundation board members on due diligence trips for the 3 finalists, including traveling to Bolivia with Mano a Mano:

You are invited to celebrate this award with Mano a Mano and the other finalists on Thursday, November 8 at St. Kates University. The prize ceremony is free and open to the public; no RSVP is necessary.
