The main focus in our clinics is maternal and infant health, and we do everything possible to ensure that moms and babies are safe and healthy. On average, a child’s risk of dying during birth is 94% lower in our clinics.
In the months of July, August, and September, there were 691 births reported in our 124 clinics. To ensure the comfort of expecting mothers, births can take place in our clinic or in their homes, whichever the mother is more comfortable with (231 of the 691 births took place in their homes).
Of the 691 births, 2 babies died during birth; the expected number of deaths would be around 55 in rural Bolivia.
