4 New Clinics and Schools Built in Mid-2019
Over the past few months, Mano a Mano has dedicated 4 new clinic and school projects in Bolivia in collaboration with the communities and our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia. (We also have other projects currently underway.) The goal of these projects is to provide access to health care and education for isolated communities, in order to ultimately improve people’s quality of life.
64 Schools and 169 Clinics Built To Date
To date, Mano a Mano has completed 64 school projects and 169 clinic projects. Check out our results page detailing these and other infrastructure projects.
Each of these projects is a partnership, with many people working together – thanks to the local communities; municipal governments; donors and volunteers in the US, Bolivia, and other countries; and our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia that oversees and manages these health and education projects! Below is more information from each of these health and education projects:
Rayo Pampa – 63rd School Project
On May 11, 2019 Mano a Mano dedicated a new school in Rayo Pampa, Bolivia. The new school project includes 3 fully-equipped classrooms and bathrooms, and replaces the previous classrooms which were in generally poor condition and were not adequate for the 69 students that came from 4 nearby communities to attend school. The new school provides a much more comfortable learning environment for the students, and a more comfortable working environment for the teachers.
The Rayo Pampa school project is a collaboration with:

Michkha Mayu – 64th School Project
On July 30, 2019 Mano a Mano dedicated a new school in Michkha Mayu, Bolivia. The new school project includes 6 fully-equipped classrooms and bathrooms, and replaces the previous classrooms which were built with adobe bricks, had holes in some classroom roofs, had limited access to electricity, and were in generally poor condition. The new school provides a much more comfortable learning environment for the students, and a more comfortable working environment for the teachers.

Pampa Lupiara – 168th Clinic Project
On July 30, 2019 Mano a Mano dedicated a new health clinic in Pampa Lupiara, Bolivia. The Pampa Lupiara clinic provides access to health care for 2,457 people. Pampa Lupiara is a rural community in the Yamparaez province, Tarabuco municipality, department of Chuquisaca.
The Pampa Lupiara clinic project is a collaboration with:

Palca – 169th Clinic Project
On August 20, 2019 Mano a Mano dedicated a new health clinic in Palca, Bolivia. The Palca clinic provides access to health care for 1,314 people. Palca is a rural community in the Tiraque province, Tiraque municipality, department of Cochabamba – about a 1-hour drive east of the city of Cochabamba (44% of Mano a Mano’s clinics are less than a 3-hour drive away from Cochabamba).
