From Reuse Minnesota:

“Share the joy of reuse all day long while celebrating National Reuse Day (October 20th)!

Let’s celebrate by choosing smarter, more sustainable ways to consume. Plan a community swap, host a mending or fix-it clinic, or challenge yourself to reuse, refill, repair, or rent instead of buying new. Support local secondhand, thrift, and refillery shops, and don’t forget to donate items you no longer need. Every action you take, no matter how large or small, will keep resources out of landfills and give them new life!”

Reuse Minnesota Presents Reuse Stories

From Reuse Minnesota (copied from their Facebook page):

In honor of National Reuse Day, we’re sharing stories that show what reuse looks like in real life. From creative reuse businesses to everyday people finding value in what others might throw away, these stories remind us that reuse is not just practical, it’s powerful.

Reuse is making a difference across Minnesota by supporting communities, protecting the environment, and strengthening our economy!

Map of Mano a Mano distributions of supplies and equipment in 2024.

Since 1994, Mano a Mano collects donated supplies, mobility equipment, and other in-demand items in Minnesota for shipment to Bolivia, where they are distributed to people & organizations in need throughout the country. Most of these items were destined for the landfill in Minnesota; instead they get put to good use in Bolivia, where they are often unavailable or cost-prohibitive.
