2. A Story of Home Coming

Mano a Mano volunteer Ray Wiedmeyer shared this story of returning a Ceremonial Pipe we received in a donation of supplies to the Pipestone Indian Shrine Association.

3. Mano a Mano Speaker Series: Caroline Doenmez on October 9th

Mano a Mano kicked off our monthly Speaker Series in March 2018. Caroline Doenmez, PhD student in the Anthropology Department at the University of Minnesota, discussed “Beginning Again In Our Bodies: Indigenous Women Reclaiming Birth” in October.

4. Remembering David Hussman

David Hussman, founder of DevJam in Minneapolis and a strong supporter of Mano a Mano, passed away in August after being diagnosed with lung cancer the year before. We wrote this post remembering him, along with links to a few other local articles. 

5. Mano a Mano’s New Plane – First Flight

On July 13, 2018, Mano a Mano staff, board members, and supporters went to Fleming Field in South St. Paul, Minnesota for the first flight in our new plane. Watch a video from that day and learn how this plane helps our aviation program in Bolivia providing emergency flights.
