Mano a Mano volunteers were hard at work yesterday in our St. Paul warehouse, sorting donated medical supplies and mobility equipment for the next shipment to Bolivia (months from now, as 4 containers with more than 100,000 pounds just started their journey from Minnesota to Bolivia last week, and our previous shipment of 3 containers sent in April just arrived at our Cochabamba warehouse last week). Our Recovered Resources Program is a daily, neverending process: in Minnesota, we collect donated supplies, sort them, and prepare them for container shipment; and in Bolivia, we organize supplies sent from Minnesota for distribution to people and organizations throughout the country, with more than 431 health centers, individuals, and schools receiving items from Mano a Mano so far in 2024.
Almost all of these supplies would have been thrown away in Minnesota; instead they get put to good use in Bolivia.
