Mano a Mano has excess durable medical equipment that we are making available in the Twin Cities, for free, on Saturday, October 9th from 9am-11am. Please send specific requests to [email protected]; we will confirm whether we can fulfill your specific request. We currently have a lot of specialty commodes/shower chairs.

Recipients should be a healthcare provider in some capacity and must sign a liability waiver upon receipt; we generally cannot provide equipment to individuals directly. We are happy to have one healthcare/social work/nursing/case manager representative collect multiple pieces of equipment to share with other colleagues/recipients.

Distributing Supplies in Bolivia

2 containers at Mano a Mano’s St. Paul warehouse – ready to load with supplies for Bolivia, September 2021.

The vast majority of the donated supplies and equipment we receive at our Minnesota warehouse (90%+) is shipped to Bolivia. Our 2 most recent containers arrived at our Saint Paul, Minnesota warehouse earlier this week; we will busy over the next few days loading them with as many pounds of medical supplies & equipment as we can possibly fit. Next week they will start their journey to our warehouse in Cochabamba, Bolivia for distribution to people & organizations in need throughout the country – like these supplies that were recently given to Cochabamba-area hospitals.

We have sent 5 containers with 121,995 pounds of supplies from Minnesota to Bolivia so far this year (these 2 containers will make it 7 containers shipped in 2021).

But we are happy to partner with other organizations when we have excess supplies, items that we cannot send to Bolivia, or items that are not the highest priority for our programs. Ultimately, we want to keep these supplies out of the landfill in Minnesota, and get them to people in need.
