Mano a Mano recently completed an expansion of a health clinic in Sumala and new schools in Litoral and Qhapajtala. Construction was delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions, but are now complete, and will improve access to health and education for their communities. Every project is a partnership: thank you to our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia, the local communities and municipal governments that participate throughout the process, and the funders that provide the seed money that kickstarts every project!

Sumala Clinic Expansion

The Sumala clinic expansion increases local capacity to provide health care to the community. Sumala is in the municipality of Icla, department of Chuquisaca. Thank you to Rotary District 5580, the municipal government of Icla, and our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia for their support of this project!

Litoral School

The Litoral school is located in the municipality of San Pedro, department of Santa Cruz. This school consists of 2 stories, with 10 classrooms, bathrooms, and is fully-furnished. Thank you to MELA-Idaho, the municipal government of San Pedro, Cargill Bolivia, and our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia for their support of this project!

All Mano a Mano clinic and school projects are fully furnished, with many of the furniture and materials constructed in bulk by Mano a Mano staff.

Qhapajtala School

The Qhapajtala school is located in the municiaplity of Tarvita, department of Chuquisaca. The new school consists of 4 fully furnished classrooms, and will provide better access to education for the community of 750 residents.
