We’ve had a busy week (like usual) at our Mano a Mano International office in St. Paul!

Welcome Ben Martínez

Ben Martínez, Executive Director of our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Internacional (one of our 4 counterpart organizations in Cochabamba, Bolivia), is in the Twin Cities this week.

He spent some time at our St. Paul warehouse today reviewing the medical supplies and equipment (which he and Mano a Mano Internacional coordinate and distribute in Bolivia once they are shipped from Minnesota, like the distribution last week of 7 tons for 46 healthcare organizations from throughout Bolivia that traveled to Cochabamba to pick up, as shown in the video above), working and chatting with staff and volunteers, and having lunch (which included a chance for Ben to share with our Minnesota volunteers about distributions in Bolivia and answer questions).

Thanks Riverland Bank Volunteers

Thanks Riverland Bank for volunteering with Mano a Mano on Monday!

Thanks Weekly Volunteers

Thanks to our regular volunteers that work on a near-daily basis to pick up supplies, sort them, and prepare them for shipment to Bolivia! Pictured below is our Wednesday crew, sorting supplies for Bolivia.

Providing Supplies for Falswar

The vast majority of the donated supplies and equipment we receive at our Minnesota warehouse is shipped to Bolivia. But we are happy to partner with other organizations – like Falswar International that picked up supplies this week for Liberia – when we have excess supplies, items that we cannot send to Bolivia, or items that are not the highest priority for our programs. Ultimately, we want to keep these supplies out of the landfill in Minnesota, and get them to people in need.
