Thanks Metro State Social Work Interns!

Thanks to our 8th(?!?) year of Metro State Social Work students who wrapped up their fall semester with Mano a Mano this week through their Community Learning Center Practicum! And a special thank you to the 30+ people that attended their presentation and farewell lunch, as we are also processing the death last week of Mano a Mano Co-Founder Joan Velásquez.

This semester’s 4 students were involved in many aspects of Mano a Mano’s work in the Twin Cities, in support of our projects and programs in Bolivia.

They finished up their semester on Wednesday, presenting a final Mano a Mano research project as part of their coursework. We are extremely grateful for their time with us, and wish them the best in the future!

We were happy to be able to have a farewell lunch for our 7 Metro State Social Work interns and St. Kate’s Community Leaders intern from the Fall 2022 semester (and are sad to see them go)!
