Thanks HERO
Thanks HERO Fargo for dropping off these wonderful gurneys, along with other medical supplies, at Mano a Mano yesterday! These will be included in our next shipment to Bolivia, hopefully in May or June.
The majority of the supplies we send go to support our network of 155 healthcare clinics, and we also distribute a large amount to hospitals, other nonprofits and civic groups, and individuals throughout Bolivia.
Thanks MNRPCV (Minnesota Returned Peace Corps Volunteers)
Also, last night was our bi-weekly ‘Soup and Sort’ volunteer event, and we’d like to thank the Minnesota Returned Peace Corps Volunteers for helping out! We always appreciate working with Peace Corps volunteers; our co-founder Joan Velasquez was in the Peace Corps in Bolivia, and received the 2008 Sargent Shriver Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Service.
We have more ‘Soup and Sort’ evenings coming up; check out a list of times in March and April 2016 here.
Festival Bolivia 2016 – Back to Our Roots: Branching Out to Our MN Neighbors on April 23rd, 2016
All of the supplies dropped off, sorted, and packed by groups yesterday and over the past few months are piling up; we have more than 70,000 pounds of supplies ready to send to Bolivia.
Our upcoming Festival Bolivia event on April 23rd is in support of our surplus program.
