Thanks to Everyone Involved With Our Festival Bolivia 2016 Event Last Saturday

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that attended our 7th annual ‘Festival Bolivia 2016: Back to Our Roots’ event on Saturday night! We had a lot of fun, and we also raised the most funds ever! More to come in the next few days, but we just wanted to thank everyone that was a part of this, and is a part of Mano a Mano; we seriously couldn’t do this without you.

Reducing Waste in Minnesota, Improving Lives in Bolivia

The theme of our event was our surplus program, and we debuted this video on Saturday night:

Mano a Mano collects surplus supplies at its St. Paul, Minnesota warehouse and distributes them in Bolivia to Mano a Mano projects, other organizations, and people in need. Watch interviews from Minnesota volunteers that sort & pack these donated supplies, and people in Bolivia that have benefited directly from these supplies – ranging from large hospitals that receive x-ray machines to people in need of a wheelchair.

This simple idea – of saving supplies destined for landfills in the US and sending them to Bolivia, where we knew they were needed and could be put to good use – was the program that started Mano a Mano more than 20 years ago. Since 1994, Mano a Mano has distributed more than 3.5 million pounds of supplies throughout Bolivia.
