Last Saturday, Hands On Twin Cities hosted its 9th Annual Volunteer Expo at the Mall of America, which was an opportunity for Mano a Mano and many other local nonprofits to showcase the difference people can make through volunteering.

Be the Change Award

As part of the Expo, Hands On recognized 4 volunteers from local nonprofits who have shown exemplary service and commitment in the different focus areas. We were very happy to see Mano a Mano volunteer Jesse Flanagan receive one of the “Be the Change” awards in recognition of his volunteer work with Mano a Mano!

Jesse is finishing up his Masters in Public Policy at the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs; we are so grateful for everything he does!

As a small organization, Mano a Mano depends on its volunteers in both the US and Bolivia to accomplish its mission, and Jesse is an amazing example of the great work that our volunteers do. Congratulations Jesse!
