In November 2013 our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia dedicated our 49th school project in Huanuma, Bolivia. The Huanuma school project has 2 classrooms, 2 teacher housing units, a community bathroom station with 2 showers and 4 bathrooms, and laundry facilities; all equipment and furnishings are also included.
Huanuma School Project
Huanuma is a small community in Section 2 of Vila-Vila, Mizque Province, Department of Cochabamba, with a population of 400 and 45 school-aged children. These new classrooms replace poorly-maintained classrooms that were there previously, and now have clean, fully-equipped teacher housing and community bathrooms in addition to improve teacher job satisfaction, community sanitation, and ultimately students’ education.
