Earlier this month our counterpart organization Mano a Mano Bolivia dedicated our 137th health clinic in Esmeralda, a community of 1,350 in the municipality of Omereque, where Mano a Mano has done a number of different infrastructure projects.
This clinic was completed in only 78 days! As with all of our projects, the Esmeralda clinic followed our model, and was built at the request and with the support of the community.

Other Projects in Omereque
Mano a Mano has done more projects in the Omereque area than in almost any other municipality in Bolivia. In addition to the recently-completed clinic in Esmeralda, Mano a Mano has built a maternity ward, classrooms, and teacher housing (watch the video below).
We have also completed 153 atajados (small water ponds), 75 kilometers of roads, and airstrips for small planes. We are very happy to work with a community that is so committed to improving their own lives!
