As part of our programs, Mano a Mano collects and ships donated surplus medical supplies to Bolivia, which provide our clinics with the items they need in order to provide quality healthcare. There are many items that we are unable to ship in sufficient quantity. Also, because of our varied programs and focus on infrastructure projects, there is a variety of construction, heavy equipment, and aviation equipment that we are always looking for.
Any items that are potential donations need to be in good, working condition (new and in their original packaging if it is a medical donation).
We are unable to pickup small amounts of medical supplies, if you have a a box or two of supplies to donate they can be dropped off at our office location. For items such as heavy equipment the transport costs are a key factor in our ability to accept these donations. Please contact us if you have any of these (or similar) items available to donate.
We need your help in locating the following items for donation that are in great need for our programs:
Medical
- Training Mannequins (for practice with CPR, first aid, etc.)
- Orthopedic supplies – braces (especially back braces and backboards), splints, slings, cervical collars
- Wound care supplies – gloves, gauze, bandages
Construction/Heavy Equipment
- Dozers D5, D6, D7 or D8
- Excavators 312, 320, 325B, C or newer models
- Wheel loaders 950B, G or newer
- Moto graders 120G, H14
- Compactor
- Medications of any kind
- Any liquids (saline, heparin, sterile water, etc.)
- Medical items removed from its original packaging
