A typical Mano a Mano trip usually lasts 7-10 days; we spend 3-4 days visiting Mano a Mano projects and spending time with our Bolivian staff, volunteers, and communities. This portion of the trip is guided by a bilingual US staff member who will travel with your group. Typically we will participate in a welcoming ceremony with our Bolivian staff and volunteers, travel to an operating Mano a Mano health clinic, visit a water project, and participate in a dedication ceremony of a new project.
The rest of your trip is completely up to you, and we will help make arrangements (this portion will not be guided by a Mano a Mano staff member; costs for this portion are not included in the base fee). Each trip is unique and can be tailored to your interests and events taking place in Bolivia at the time. The video below is of a trip from 2010 – a group of travelers from the Northeastern United States traveled to climb mountains and get started on a fundraised to build a clinic with Mano a Mano in Chunavi. Bolivia (the clinic was completed one year later):
